Seeing that pic doesn't make me want to go out and by the Fiat. It just makes me appreciate the allure of female beauty.

Commodification is wasted if it doesn't instill a desire to purchase the commodity.

I mean if Paul Giamatti could sell cologne, he'd be on TV doing it. Women wanted their husbands to be like Tom Selleck, so they encouraged them to buy the cologne he sold.
