(53,016 posts)I do it in real life too. I prefer to deal with things directly. It's easier not to come off so confrontational in person though. It's more like, I hear you have a problem with this. Let's talk about it.

(6,154 posts)I used to just get hurt and pout like you said. But I've learned over the years it's often best to respond and try to figure out what prompted the response. Quite often I learn it's not as bad as I thought. They don't dislike me or aren't judging me badly like I thought, there was something very specific I said or did that bothered them and I can talk it through to a nice conclusion. But you have to be careful. If it seems like the person is just being a troll or wants to pick a fight, horrible sarcasm is often a red flag, it's often better to ignore these people. It can be difficult to judge at times.

(22,000 posts)I'm just typing to test something right now so you don't have to read all of this. I had a problem with the mouse pad on my laptop today and i think I figured out what the problem was. The pointer was jumping around and every typed something some of it would disappear. Well I used a program to clean the register on my computer and the damn program took the program off that has to do with my mouse pad. So after figuring this out I downloaded the program and am typing this to test it.
Sorry, as you were...........
