Young filmmakers document their colleague's budding online friendship with a young woman and her family which leads to an unexpected series of discoveries.
Do you really really know that online lover of yours that you've never met?
Sometimes it's good to look really close at that people you think you know and give your heart to on the internet.
The internet makes it really easy for people to pretend to be who they are not
and very bad things can happen because of it.

(16,330 posts)the first time was with a local woman I met for a play date with our kids. She sent her husband to the place first to see if I were real. I thought that was so smart! Me? I just showed up at the Chuck E. Cheese with my kids, lol.
The second time, I met two online friends at a restaurant where one of them worked. She sent out "spies" first to make sure we were who we claimed to be.

(5,580 posts)Where people can verify you are and what you say you are. These verifications are worth their weight in gold. Though i am sure some people fake them as well but you take your chances. Worst thing is on the dating sites how people lie about their pics or manipulate them.

NYC_SKP is a true friend and a gem of a human, uppityperson is a fine Liberal Democrat, Tavalon is a fine liberal Dem, also, And everyone else I've become friends with online seem just fine.
Except that fucking grantcart.
It's why his dog and wife came to live with me......
The dog didn't cower when he reached out to touch him, but the mutt barfed every time.
So did the wife, IIRC.
SO I guess I'm running 6 out of 7 for good peeps. (counting the wife and the dog).
I would imagine they were ALL disappointed in me.
You said I was a "germ of a human", not "a gem". Get a spellcheck, Freeper!

Never disappointed in you, friend.
I still remember our first DU exchanges over your early life in the boonies, Pittsburg IIRC.
Your visit was too short.
Come back some day and I'll try to get up to see you!
