Got to sample both.
Stromboli is filled with ham, salami, pepperoni and mozzarella and the crust is Un-BE-FRIKKEN-LIEVABLE. Served with marinara (made fresh...no "jar sauces" here).
Philly Cheese Steak has top-notch ingredients...lean steak, onion, green pepper, mushrooms and cheese.

(8,462 posts)A shame there wasn't Cheez Wiz on the sandwich to make it a real cheese steak... the top pic is AMAZING.

(30,885 posts)He was making these more in the style of a calzone and found that while the dough browned nicely on the outside, it wasn't cooking evenly on the insode, so he came up with the idea of doing it "lattice" style. The cust is dusted with herbs and Parmesan and you take the first bite and say "You have to be KIDDING me." It's really THAT good.

(6,154 posts)Or do you do a range of photography. I ask as an armature photographer that has thought off and on of trying some professional work but with no idea how to get ones foot in the door.

(30,885 posts)Food photography's a favorite, but I do about 90% of the photography for the Websites I build, and they are varied (only common theme is "local small businesses" .
Best way to get a foot in the door is find something you like and approach a local business. Offer to do a cpmplementary shot or two for their Website / Facebook page so that you have some work of your own to show, and then start knocking on doors.
I did that yesterday...went to a local beauty salon / day spa, took a couple of complementary photos, and walked out with a new client.

(26,324 posts)My buddy would go in after the anonymous food critic would surreptitiously visit the restaurant. By then the restaurant was notified they would be on the show.
Anyway, he would occasionally call me to "help" . I.e. eat the leftovers as the chefs would typically make the entire menus for the shoot.
I would walk in like a big shot saying "where's my photographer?". And they would be like right this way MR. HBS, care for a glass or wine maybe some espresso have a seat we'll get you a setting here eat this and this and this.
They would roll out the red carpet for both of us because they were elated they were getting free advertising.
