We've been getting the dvds from the library, but then we have to watch a lot of episodes so we can return it in time.

I still haven't received it.

I'm new to netflix. What is the standard amount of time you're allowed to hold onto a DVD?

we only do streaming through them.

The library's always got a waiting list for dexter, and you can only check out a dvd set there for 7 days - so a lot of times we can watch part of a season, then we have to return it and wait again to see the rest.

it's kinda in their interest for you to hold on to it.

I've sat on them for months without a problem.

When I first watched it I enjoyed it a lot, and I still do pretty well but it's gone on too long. The season with John Lithgow is outstanding!

But heard so many good comments, I gave it a shot. It's well worth watching. Season 4 (I think) with John Lithgow was outstanding. Just finished season 6 and am waiting in the library queue for season 7.

Believe it or not, the day before James Gandolfini died, I started watching The Sopranos from beginning to end. Wow!
