michelina's $1 frozen micro in a variety of flavors ( ), what are you wearing? I mean Popeye's spicy and ... red beans and rice, ooo baby!

also some assorted snacky things from trader joe's, taco bell, and filiberto's (not garbage)

plus some fancy french too-rich for me, filled croissant type pastry dealies that I could barely eat a half of one

I grew up on the West Bank of NOLA and there was a Popeye's on every corner. Red beans and rice they do well. Except everybody does them well in New Orleans and you always knew what you would be eating on a Monday - and looked forward to it.

A shade of spice and boudin in that, it's a hearty meal.

one place here in Tucson -- now closed -- topped theirs with 5 coins of char-grilled
Andouille sausage... heaven, heaven, fucking HEAVEN!!!)

My father was in that at one time as one of New Orleans 10 best golfers. I shit you not, and I'll show you the trophy and take a picture of the plaque.

Doesn't make it an authority on Copeland's.
