Had a cat scan today, they did one pass with oral glow juice, the came back for on with intravenous

I was fine with that til the end when the tech came in to ask how long I had been feeling bloated and my other symptoms.... I answered, but as i walked out i felt weird that she had asked that after the scans were over...

I am post menopausal for 15 years, hit it early, 40. Maybe all the symptoms of the past 18 months are nothing, but wow, had she asked BEFORE the scan, or before the second one with IV glow juice it would have worried me less...

Sorry for whining, many of you will remember my MIL just lost a kidney to cancer and my Mumsy is battling it now... on the bright side, I should know tomorrow and I remain optimistic that we can't have but SO many shoes drop here....

Usually it has nothing to do with anything. But it's hard not to try to read the tea-leaves.

They really shouldn't say *anything*. But then we'd read all kinds of things into the silence.

You'll find out tomorrow. Don't torture yourself. Double-up on the meds and hit the hay early.

I always grill the techs, but at my local V.A. they are pretty tight lipped, so my imagination gets to run wild..

Get some rest, you earned it.

I'm quite sure the tech was just making small talk.

There is no reason for them to quiz or diagnose your symptoms. None.

The radiologist will read the images and send a report to your Doc. Nobody wants to hear ANYTHING from the tech so there is absolutely no reason for them to ask other than small talk.

Mayyyyyybe, just maybe, the tech was watching out for a reaction if you made a complaint about not feeling well after the injection. Some people can have serious reactions so they are trained to watch.
