it's August 14 in Virginia, and it's 67 degrees outside at noon. WTF?

This has been a weird summer in the mid-Atlantic.

Also having some very strong, cold (yes, cold) gusts of wind every now and then. The cats are mildly freaked, and the birds don't know what the hell is going on.

What's the weather where you are?

But it is 71 degrees at 9:15 this morning and looks to be another glorious Southern California day.

I was 28 ...I fondly remember those days.

This weather here in August is usually hot-and-humid (northern Virginia, not the coast). Like, high 80s up to 95+ with at least 70% humidity.

we usually have had a 100+ week by now, that's why it is so glorious. I'm guessing it will be another year we can have holiday dinners on the patio.

so - I do know the real heat that being even 5 miles inland from the ocean can bring...

San Diego, coastal, was never hot. Was wonderful. Even with the "June gloom"

We've already had 3.70 inches of rain this month when our normal total for the month is 2.59. It's really strange to have everything be so green this time of the year. I'm certainly enjoying it.

I have jeans on for the first time all summer. Thankfully, they fit LOL. This is ridiculous. It's starting to look like Fall around here too.
