There's also the issue that the person might be a Republican, who sharks refuse to eat as a matter of professional courtesy.

our boat captain said the sharks don't bite people in the Bahamas because they keep their sharks fed...

so you better show up with some hunks of fish carcass! I imagine that's why they pick that spot to take the glass bottom boat tours..






(He also said if you were gonna get seasick, "FEED THE FISH! don't mess up my toilets!"...luckily nobody got seasick)
