Just watched The Avengers for the fifth time

I was never really into Captain America, but I have to say I think I have a newfound respect for the character... very nicely portrayed by Chris Evans. I haven't seen the Captain America movie yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Your thoughts DU?
Also, I would like to hear anyone's thoughts about the very end of the Avengers where it shows Thanos... I personally thought this was a bit early of an entry after only the first Avengers movie, given that Thanos is such a hard-core bad-ass character to be brought in now ( the infinity gauntlet series and all that)

It's kinda hard to realize that Chris Evans also played the Human Torch in the FF movies.

And Thanos won't be showing up in Avengers 2, I think. It's about Ultron.

Marvel's really thinking a good six years down the road with these movies.

And I will say rumored, that there is a Dr.Strange movie in the works, and that a possible appearance will be featured in the next installment.

Rumored, now- Marvel has plenty of time to bring in whatever characters they feel will draw an audience.

Kang is someone I need to look up

I'm not sure what they have planned for the next installment....as usual, Iron Man steals the show!

The part where Fury said "I want to know how he used it to turn two of the sharpest guys I know into his personal flying monkeys"

Thor: " Monkeys? I don't understand...
Capt.America: "I do!....I understood that reference!"

I was pissing myself!

"We need a plan of attack."
"I have a plan. Attack!"

Whedon's writing and directing kicked that flick into the stratosphere.

"Comic-Con nerds will have multiple orgasms," predicts critic David Edelstein in New York magazine, confirming something I had vaguely suspected about them. If he is correct, it's time for desperately needed movies to re-educate nerds in the joys of sex. "The Avengers" is done well by Joss Whedon, with style and energy. It provides its fans with exactly what they desire. Whether it is exactly what they deserve is arguable.
