No, I didn't find another stray kitten this weekend, I found 5...

Actually, all of them went into the traps I had set for the feral clinic. Four were about 8-10 weeks and I had them fixed...not sure if they'll be able to be socialized, and there's no adoption programs that have space...so if anyone knows of anyone, sned him her my way...I can't have 10 cats!...photos will follow tomorrow, 2 are black, one a gray tabby, one an orange tabby. One has an ulcerated eye, which had healed on its own, but we don't think he can see out of it. Looks sort of square...vet said no reason to remove it.

The fifth is only about 5 weeks old, small for her age, but healthy and eats well..she already purrs when I hold her. She's a little roughed up, and slowly looking better...she doesn't need any socializing, just some calming down and a little weight gain...

If anyone knows of anyone!

If some of them can't be socialized I wonder if there is a feral cat colony nearby that they could be incorporated into.

As long as they aren't already too wild...the youngest, though, will get a home probably fairly easy.

Dang, I only have two kitties now (although we have two more on the horizon) and the demands of my masters tire me out sometimes!

these every few months, so she's on antibiotics, and I think she's also getting a little senile...I took her in on Friday, because she messes outside the box, and while she's done that before because of the infection, I think now it's because of her arthritis, so I set up a box of only one inch in height, and she still goes on the newspaper outside it...either her arthritis is even worse (she is a little unsteady these days) or she's confused...oh well, twice a day I have a nice clean-up job!

There were a lot of messes and it gets exhausting ... Still, it's so hard to let them go.

Did the IV for a year for both...they were littermates. After Scarlet left, it took me a while to stop stripping the bed and elsewhere every morning to wash since she always had messes during the night...

They're grown now and very domesticated. Their mama still lives outside my house, and graciously allows me to feed her on my doorstep every evening. I am even allowed to pet her while she eats. (She's spayed, of course, as are all her kittens.) My two dogs are respectful. Well, one is respectful, the other is an area rug, so respect doesn't even come up.
Cheers.
