I think I am over my head.

I have alreaydy had $85 taken out of my pay to the gas pumps getting crossed $7.13 due to my draw being sort, & a $6 rental fee of three uniform shirts that I have yet t be issued.

I have also been told I have two week to master all the stuff like money orders, Running checks, trying to mesmerized all the stuff we sell and the prices since not all of that is at the register or in the price book like it is supposed to be. And all the cleaning and stocking protocols.

And someone else is coming in to talk to me. I need my SS card and I.D for them for some reason.

Man! All I want is to pay everyone off and get back to AZ!

But I don't know if they will want me. They are interviewing more people as it is!

As I said all I want to do is pay people back and get back to Arizona! All the reasons I left in the first place have just got worse with time!

That type of place is always interviewing, quick turnover of employees. Just do your best.

I am scared it will mess up an already bad resume as it is! With a 2 year whole in it!

As for Arizona, everything!

Weather, people, mountains, everything there fits me so well.

I feel like my home was stolen! And I want it back!

it was that had intimidated me or seemed so difficult.

Didn't matter how many times I had been through it, each new

No charge for uniform (shirt) and no threats to dock pay for any mistakes. I was told that if I'm caught with over $120 in the till I will be terminated on the spot. That's pretty tough when $100's are the new $20's and people prepay at the pumps. Yesterday I did $4800 at my register in about six hours. That's a rough 1.5% direct labor cost for the company. Pretty good for them. I also did a straight 8 hour shift with no break. Not one. I'm popping ibuprofen for my back like candy. Fucking nightmare. Good luck!

But as long as I do drops as soon as a rush is over It is OK.

They have no scanner, all things must be put in manually. And the vender's have a bad habit of NOT putting the prices on. We also have to handle Money orders. AHHHHHHH! When you have ten people in line and out get one gut will a bunch of Lotto and then a money order, those other customers are not happy. Add to it the prices not there in the book or on the product..... AHAHAHHAHA!

And they say I need more speed tomorrow. Speed would be easy if they would put in a scanner and have all the prices!

It would have been nice if they had spend some time training you! They seem to expect an awful lot for your first day on the job!

Hang in there, it will get less confusing!

It's 2013!

Don't get me started on the lottery. That's always good for turning no line into 10 deep.

Tobacco products can drive you nuts, too - we must have over 500 counting chewing tobacco (which I can't believe how many people use). I quit smoking 10 years ago this month, and the variety of Marlboro and Camel products these days is insane.

I also get to make hot dogs, corn dogs, coffee, service the fountain soda, and bag 20 - 30 10lb bags of ice per shift. In addition to routine stocking of coolers and bathroom, store, and parking lot janitorial duties. I've never worked so hard in my life...

Just try your best and stay positive. Is your speed related to the price issue? Could you keep a notebook near by and record the prices yourself, and maybe when it's slow write down items from the shelf so you can memorize them at home? It sucks and you shouldn't have to do that on your own time, but if that's what it takes, that's what it takes.

good luck
