A small pleasure. Viewing imdb while watching a movie.

imdb (internet movie data base) has info about every movie ever made, as far as I can tell.
I like to watch old movies on TCM and AMC.

Even the most boring or cheesy low budget movie can become more interesting when you read the bios of the actors and look at 'trivia' and 'goofs'.

Enjoy: http://www.imdb.com/

In fact I just finished checking out the Downton Abbey performers since I spent the afternoon watching season one on DVD.

Especially learning about the background and bios of some of the bit players that you see all the time and have no idea what their names are.

And you'd be watching a movie, and going crazy trying to remember where you saw that actor before, and you miss most of the movie thinking about it?

Now, it's *pause*, a quick trip to IMDB and back to the flick.

is looking up "WHO THE HELL IS THAT GUY!?!?! IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!"

and then when I look up what I'm watching, find the actor, click over to his or her history and scroll down I have that moment of epiphany: "Ohhhhhhhhhh that's where we know them from..." and I can go on with my day or evening.
