4. When I went in the Army, people assumed the MidWest was one homogenous "zone".

They assumed Michigan was ALSO "sheep country", so a nickname I acquired
quickly (an unfairly, I might add) was "Sheephurter&quot . I liked it and am still
known by some as that (though I would never hurt a sheep).
