A warm, professional exchange between a former employer and yours truly...
SHORT VERSION: Did contract work for this guy, realized in short order that he was a dirtbag, I severed ties, he owes me money for services rendered.
Here is the text exchange from yesterday morning:
MIKE: Please let me know the status of my check and the date on which you will be mailing it. Thank you.
FORMER EMPLOYER: Will do
MIKE: When can I expect to hear back from you?
FORMER EMPLOYER: When I find out
MIKE And when will that be?
FORMER EMPLOYER: Mike fuck off. When I find out.
FORMER EMPLOYER: Will do
MIKE: When can I expect to hear back from you?
FORMER EMPLOYER: When I find out
MIKE And when will that be?
FORMER EMPLOYER: Mike fuck off. When I find out.
That exchange, verbatim, is now sitting on the Better Business Website in his town in the form of a complaint. He later went on to say that he would "gladly see me in court or anywhere else." I replied "You may want to reconsider before you insult me again or make any additional threats."
Checks are due by the 20th at the latest. My friend also worked for him, briefly. Last month she chased him for THREE WEEKS before she got her check....the July 20th check arrived just a few days ago.
