(10,893 posts)know someone in Ukraine, and she and I have been talking since last summer. All I have to do is save up enough money to fly over there this Winter for a few days. I'm interested to see what that country is like.

I am kind of digging this song "Dirty Paws" by Of Monsters and Men, used in the "Walter Mitty" trailer.
Love this trailer. The song fits perfectly.

(4,465 posts)really good.
That high note at the end of the first one is a little harsh but the rest of it, it's got that "fill you up" quality to it. really good.

(17,101 posts)I'm not sure if she's toured the States yet. She's been around for close to a decade here, won a couple of Juno awards.
Here's an interview with her. She's a very intelligent and talented woman, a singer, pianist, composer and songwriter with a background in classical music; not prepackaged. http://www.sarahslean.com/press

(6,785 posts)"And We Danced". Can't. Get. Song. Out. Of. Head.
I'd post a link to the video, but I'm pretty sure it would get the post hidden.
Edited to add: Just listened to Can't Hold Us for the first time. I'm totally getting that CD, since I know of at least three songs I like on it already. Now that's stuck in my head too.

(4,465 posts)But yeah, great song/video. I *love* Macklemore. That Irish Celebration Song of his, omg. LOVE! And that song same love or what ever it's called, so good.

(6,785 posts)And I liked it enough to start listening to more of his stuff. (Wanz is awesome in that song too) So far everything I've heard by him is good, which is pretty rare. Listening to the Irish Celebration one now, and it is pretty kickass.
