Nearly 370 dogs were seized last week in what is believed to be the second largest dog fighting raid in U.S. history, the Humane Society of the United States and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals stated Monday morning in press statements.

The Auburn Police Department initiated the three-year investigation into the ring, which resulted in 13 search warrants being executed Friday morning in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Texas. Ten suspects have been arrested and indicted on felony dog fighting charges. According to the press releases, 367 dogs were seized.
