Had a discussion this am....
someone pointed out that weapons all seem to be phallic symbols....
cannon muzzles firing balls, bullets/rockets shaped like penis-y things, etc.
But if women designed weapons....
booby traps came immediately to mind...
what else.....

(8,217 posts)Thing is, I think women are smart, and so in regards to weapons, particularly projectile based, they would be pretty similar.
I tend to equate most weapon design a function of form. So arrows would not have worked otherwise.
Bullets have to consider air resistance and so forth.
So a point is generally needed.
The only one I could think of that is completely meant to be shaped like a penis is the kpinga.
Sure, there are weapons that are given designs to look kinda like that, but it is mostly a secondary trait to the function.
Any how, this was interesting which suggested that women designed weapons to compete with men.

(17,671 posts)swinging clubs and swords the would probably invent some sort of standoff projectile weapon.
In other words, they'd invent what we've got.
