(118,583 posts)You buy it like that. Called "Mann's" four veggie slaw. I fill a mug with it and eat it handful after hand full with no dressing. Each handful tastes slightly different.

(6,011 posts)I'm thinking I could run those veggies through the salad shooter my MIL gave us. It has a coarse grating side and a slicing side.
Usually broccoli and cauliflower separate into bits when cut small.

(8,021 posts)They somehow slice them lengthwise.
It's actually a brilliant product - selling the stalks after they've cut off the more valuable florets.

(118,583 posts)leftovers from the fancier cuts of vegetables that they make into the slaw. Still very good for you even though the colours are not so vibrant in the broccoli and the cauliflower (colour usually denotes healthiness in fruits and vegetables, at least the carrots and the cabbage are colourfull).

(118,583 posts)I munch on the four veggie slaw at about 10 or 11 PM. More than a cup full, more like 1 1/2 cups packed down. I suppose it takes the place of my third meal. I wake up at 2PM and go to sleep at 3AM. So it is hard to eat right when you keep those hours. I'm like you Bertha in that I was kinda addicted to food. But this has enough variety in the mixture of flavours with each handful that I like it without dressing. For sure it is a little zippy. But that is a good thing. I'm glad I found this cause I have a hard time eating veggies.

(21,484 posts)I am very happy for you that you've found something that works! Where did you find this Mann's veg slaw -- mainstream grocery store, I hope.

(20,776 posts)seems to be gone. Rei chan (my gf) told me it could have been food poisoning, but I always check stuff in the fridge, before I reheat it, or cook it, or start chomping down stuff. The nose is a pretty good tool for sniffing out stuff that might have gone bad. Idk, she could have been right.. in any case, its good to feel better.
Thanks!

(29,642 posts)eat regular for five days, fast on two. The fast actually is 500 calories total for the day. I split it up to 250 for a light breakfast and 250 for a light evening meal. Works pretty good for me. Here's some more info on it. http://thefastdiet.co.uk/ Slow but steady losing seems to work best for me too.
