our trip to Disneyland

16 bucks to park 91 bucks times four adults & 81 $ for a seven year old .We are now in Disneyland and our grandson Indie is hungry after the two hours of bumper to bumper traffic to go 46 miles . Lunch for 3 ( 2 of us weren't hungry ) 49.85 $.........

the worst part is that this 675 dollar day was that it was worth every damned penny ---the place delivered once again and it's hard for this old grandpa to figure out that money is worth 1/10 of what it once was 40 years ago .Even with the Matterhorn and the Haunted Mansion down it wasn't too crowded and the expensive food was surprisingly edible .

can't wait to go again and next time I am going medicated . cheap thrills don't come cheap anymore but for a few hours the world went away .

I can't abide your run-of-the-mill amusement park but have a definite soft spot for Disney.

the year it opened (or maybe the second year - late 60's at any rate - I was maybe 5 or 6)

and I have been a fan ever since. Been going ever since with them for a while and then I took my kids for a while and now we take our grandkids - although we haven't been in a few years...I have been getting the itch to go again though.

Haunted Mansion has been my favorite since that first year. I never liked Pirates of the Caribbean that much but my daughter loves it so much that now I like it too...

But I am gonna have to start winning more lotteries if I plan to keep going...

I'll never go to another Disney park but my kids (aged 25 and 16) are in love.

Hope it was worth every $$ moment...

Was the family time and people watching good?

I'm not a Disneyland person but I've family who are and I could write novels about people I've met waiting in line.

With so many Disney Resorts, this place was the original. Anyway, it was fun and I enjoyed riding the Mono Rail as much as any of the other rides. My favorite was Pirates of the Caribbean, along with the Yellow Submarines they had..(Was shocked that in the water were no real fish..they were all plastic!)

I think we spent four days there, and stayed at a motel across the street. Years later, I went to an Angels Baseball game, near by. I think that was more fun! I also went to a Mighty Ducks hockey game and that place was amazing. We had sky high seats, but it was totally worth it, and besides, we brought Binoculars!

I have a couple that are happier, but it really is hard to beat Disneyland for a great time. And, strangely, it comforts me. We're going when we go home to CA next August.
