Australia has been Invaded by Giant Feral Cats (????)

Man, the Australian ecosystem doesn’t do anything by halves. Everything is either the weirdest, most poisonous, or straight-up biggest version of itself. Right now they’re battling feral cats, but of course they can’t just be normal feral cats — they have to be 45-pound feral cats that can only be eradicated by specially trained dogs.

Somebody help me here. Does anyone know if this truly is so, or is this all satire? or the picture is just a Photoshop?

If there really are such huge cats like that Down Under, maybe we could ask them to capture them and send them into our inner city subways to get rid of the giant rats.

post a fucking warning. You talk about cats, we expect to see live cats not dead. Better yet, delete it.

From the link in the OP: "A researcher said that the stomach of one contained “the remains of two sugar gliders, a velvet gecko, a bird, and some insects — that’s just one cat, over one day.” There were also some beer cans, a Maryland license plate, and a small wooden puppet who goes by the name of Pinocchio." {Emphasis added}

Two sugar gliders? Yep, try catching them, puddy. Beer cans with stomach acid? Puddy's not going to feel too well. Also, extemely hot. And a Maryland plate? give me a break.

Laughed so hard I would get numb. Had to limit my reading to a couple pages/night. But no way in hell I visit that place. Can't help but wonder how anybody survives there. Gaaah!!!!

Have you read "A Walk in the Woods"? It's about his attempt to hike the Appalachian Trail.

I need to check out some more of his writing. Unfortunately, A Walk in the Woods was all the local library has. And the librarian whine about how sexist he is when I checked it out. I think I'll have to head to the bigger city libraries next
