Beau, the gray and white one, kept hitting her on the head, then ran outside and hid for an hour and a half...they now play with her, and while she loves Ashley, the big gray one, she tries to nurse off him, so the cuddling never lasts long!

so happy. Such babies.

Husband and I caught a feral mom and her three kittens last weekend; they're with a woman now who's part of Alley Cat Allies; she's hoping to socialize the kittens and all will be spayed/neutered/vaccinated. Hopefully the kits can be adopted; Mommacat (whom I call Lily) will probably be re-released to the area around our office that she's familiar with. And I'll keep feeding her

Glad your little one has been accepted. She looks like a cutie!

I hate having to return the older ones, but it's for the best...even if they were once pets, it's often difficult to re-socialize them so you feed them and do the best you can.

care for her.

I think she was probably only first-generation feral- definitely wary of me, but after several months had become more trusting. She'll probably be tame after a while but we already have 5 cats that are part of a family and I can't integrate her into our home family.

Woman caring for cats just said she thinks the kits might not be able to be socialized. I really don't want to release four cats back into this area ... want them to have forever homes.

It's tough to introduce older cats into a group...kittens the others accept pretty easily, but older cats are set in their ways, and sometimes (usually) conflicts erupt...the little ones at this age just do what the others tell them to!

My wife and I have 4 rescues, each more adorable than the rest. I imagine you've got quite a bit of poop scooping with all these babies. The things we do for love...

That brown boy's looking a bit chubby....I'd watch that, not good for him. Her.

The little one did not eat this morning...which was strange...maybe it was the type of food, since I vary it...she played a little and doesn't seem like she was sick, but she always gobbles up anything and everything...I put a new plate and replacement milk near where I know she hides to sleep, so hopefully she'll eat that...

I still have Ferrer for another match or unlikely 2. I like Na Li (or is it Li Na?) other than that I am pretty much uninterested. I can watch a lot of players until they become creepy and for me most of the top men and several of the top women have reached that point. So it is almost over for me.

The coverage over the weekend was much like always. I was glad to see that. Oddly I found out that one of the commentators I did not like for the women's matches is Virginia Wade!! Far too proper and was making a big deal about how the men at least have some sense in their dress but the women are going crazy and she does not like that. LOL, proper tennis talk? Whatever. At least I know when my company arrives this weekend I will not be having to remove myself for finals. I am guessing there is at least a possibility Li Na will make it through but men will probably be the usual Roidy, Djerky or Glumbago (my husbands nickname for Murray).

Glad the kitties are doing well! My two original house cats still have not accepted the feral I tamed and brought inside. At least they have decided to not ignore me for it like the did the last time I brought another cat inside. They have a very stand offish relationship with him and occasionally will fight but mostly just spats.

I'll take it.

I don't like Azarenka, but I think she's the only one who can beat Serena.

Virginia Wade! So that's what she's doing these days! I have to agree with her...it's all about fashion now and not tennis...that's why I like Kirtsen Flippins of Belgium...her outfits are sooooooo plain.

The kitten has started running from me again...someone is interested in taking her, which may work out better because I have too many...anyway, she gets along withe everyone, but for some reason is afraid of me now...I will just work with her every evening and hopefully that calms her down.

Tue Sep 3, 2013, 01:13 PM

about what the women are wearing is the problem. I could care less what they wear after all the years of unreasonable restictions put on them. Why spend time talking about their looks when they are there to play a very rigorous, tough game. I always am amazed at they everyone seems to focus on what they wear more than to just comment on it and move on. Then there was the year that Dominic Hbaty decided to wear a pink shirt with a cut out on the back. I thought they were all going to have seizures over that one, lol.

I am certain you will do what is right for the kitty. Perhaps being that young it has just decided to ID itself with the others. It makes sense but I would not know. Little kitty treats and some evenings and it will be your pal I am sure. They are all so cute!

I can't watch Azarenka. I don't feel the need to watch Serena. I also like Flippens. Wish she had done better. Womens tennis will be fine I think, some good players coming to the fore. Men's tennis is odd right now. I do fear that for the next several years and probably for one or two of them more than that we are stuck with Roidy, Djerky and Glumbago.

and diamonds embedded in her hands...that's way too much.

I think also it will be a bad time for men's tennis...no new guys on the up and coming to tke over from the big 3...none of whom I like. You're right about the women...much more balance the next few years I think.

and I can't find a thing about diamonds embedded in her hands. I saw her play but I guess I just never noticed that? Can you shoot me a link to that? I would love to see that. I did notice the purple hair, that does not bother me, the having to stop a match so Serena can bandage a finger because her enormous ring is dinging the finger next to it does. Their outfits may sometimes be hideous but they play. The only reason any of it bothers me is if it distracts, and I would think diamonds catching the light might but then I would not know. I don't know how they play with those fingernails but they do so it does not bother me at all. Still, I am way curious about the embedded diamonds. Please.....tell me.

Whatever I guess. I still don't care except if the sparkles from the lights distract the other player.

I wish she was playing better.

I always did enjoy her much more than Serena. Serena's attitude bothers the hell out of me. Venus just seems exuberant and so happy to be there.

Looked at your kitties again. They sure are cute and the picture of the little one with the big ones just makes me melt!

Li Na on my computer mostly. We finally have a great internet connection, this is going to brighten my slams up quite a bit!

I was thrilled when Youzhny won. I never disliked him, watched him with some interest but was always pulling for someone else. I could not stand to think that racist Hewitt would make it any farther than he did. I wish he would retire. I just want to smack him every time I see him. Felt the same way about Hingis.

Kitten faces work to soften the edges of even a crotchety old cat's opinion. Your whole gang seems to be very comfortable together. The best part is they have a bunch of playmates! Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your pictures.
