Recently, I ordered Steve McQueen's "The Blob" from Neflix.

It was fun to watch that corny old movie.

But then.... it got to the end....

The Air Force transports the blob to the North Pole, where it will remain frozen. The last frames of the move say, "The End," which morphs into a question mark.

Gasp! Oh Noes!

It was prophetic! It was visionary! Global warming will melt the North Pole, melt the blob, and the blob will eat us all up! They knew! They knew!

are a total hoot now!

Like when people are just standing there screaming instead of running away from this big old blob thing that my grandma could escape with one leg tied behind her back.

Did you ever see "The Killer Shrews"? The shrews were really dogs in shrew suits.

It was on the window screen and I thought it was a moth and I got up out of bed to let it out.

That beast was vicious!

It tried to kill me. It bit me multiple times, mostly on my bare feet and ankles (no blood) before I grabbed it and tossed it outside.

I had once started to collect DVDs of old movies like that, but lost them all in a flood. Maybe I'll start up, again...with BluRays.

You reminded me to update my Netflix queue. I have to force the husband to watch Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick before we go see the new Riddick in the theater. Irritates me they aren't on instant view.

of Riddick. In fact, if you have not seen Pitch Black before watching Chronicles of Riddick, you would not know what is going on in that movie. I can't wait until Riddick comes out on DVD.

It was disturbing. I definitely recommend watching them in order.

Riddick will be the first movie I see in a theater since 300. I've been researching the best days/nights to go where I won't be irritated by too many people.

I can't wait! Overpriced popcorn with some chemical form of butter, $10 Snowcaps and a $15 Coke!

We finally rented it and, after 20 minutes, each of them gave me a dirty look and left the room one by one.

I don't care. I still like it.

Don't you remember when it kills the projectionist and starts crawling around the crowded theater?

scared the hell out of me when I was a kid - and I think I only saw the trailer. After that for some time, I was always looking over my shoulder in the apartment building hallway.
