First I have to find a job that will give me a chance since I will have to Shelter jump. Then I can get a real mailing address so the T.V. Studios will at less look at me. I will be hard enough without my transcripts.

But In there somewhere I need to find someone willing to teach me how to drive.

Dad always used the excuses of how we could not afford it. Even when I had the money to pay for the gas he would use the insurance as the excuse. Could not afford it to go up due to me.

But I think Tucson does have a driving school...

So I could not load to YouTube. And my copies went in the tornado.

That is another reason I am looking at starting at the bottom as a studio camera op. 1: I do love to work in studio. 2: many a T.V station will hire right off the street, even Senior's in High School, to work part time running cameras. That way I can get my foot in, set up payments to get my transcripts, and also get my camera gear again.

This is going to be a bit of an uphill clime, but the payoff is worth it.

portfolio. For example, the state agency I work for has a Video Production Branch and when we are hiring we ask that candidates provide some samples of their work.

Sadly. my gear, that was insured, was taken by the tornado. The insurance comp. found a loophole so they did not have to pay.

5 years of paying and they said that it takes 30 days after I put in the change of address for the insurance to cover everything again. It was in the super fine print.

So that is another reason I need to get a job when I get back to AZ. To get my gear back.

As you said it sounds like you know you have a bit of a hill to climb. But if you know the measure of the hill and the sign posts along the way you are already ahead of the game compared to so many who just "wish" for something. I'm sure you'll get there Lady Freedom. And you have us cheering you on

So you used to operate a TV/Movie camera? Cool.

2 & 1/2 years of it as the Associate Producer for the morning show.

I also did different news reporting for my College T.V station.

I've often envied those who had jobs even tangentially related to the film / media industry. So many interesting people there, lots of ass holes too from what I understand though.

But the ass holes are important to keep everyone from getting a big head and staying down to earth.

I am trained to do still frame photography. I just need to get a camera and some other equipment, and some sort of transportation to go out and take some photos to see about selling freelance style. I can help a lot with helping give me some padding finically to help pay my student loans and use my training.
