Dexter fans. Was the revelation of the Ice Truck Killer in Episode 8 really a surprise?

I had a suspicion the second time I saw him, but knew it when he told Dexter's sister about his mother. It was a dead give away when he said that she had lost her legs and he wanted to put the pieces back together.

they are blocking cbs and showtime, so I have been missing Dexter. I am still paying for showtime and cbs, however. I read some people started a class action lawsuit regarding paying for channels they are not getting. how can I join?
