Much as we overuse the smilie, not that many things come that close to making me literally roll on the floor laughing.
But this does. And it's possibly the finest moment in Vickie Lawrence's career.

Did a BEE-U-TEE-FULL John F Kennedy imitation.

(41,984 posts)He had a reputation for torturing Harvey. You can see that little twitch of glee now and then.

(28,941 posts)Conway could crack him up with an expression. That one would have put him in intensive care with a ruptured lung.

(41,984 posts)I wonder if it's generational, but I don't think so. Conway's ability to keep pushing while everyone around him fell apart was wonderful. And unlike Robin Williams, whom I do like, he did it with careful precision. Deadly.

(28,941 posts)Deadly indeed. Burnett's groan of pain when Conway started his attack; she knew the place would be littered with convulsing bodies, including her own.
Williams uses a broadsword; Conway, a rapier.

(41,984 posts)I haven't looked for the sketch, but somewhere he describes his girlfriend and him in a lifeboat, and she makes this heroic attempt to swim for help, and is immediately beset by sharks. The line is something like "Unfortunately she was wearing her good luck ham..." I describe some toxic partners as a "good luck ham".
(Edited because autocorrect wanted me to look for the scotch...)

(39,320 posts)IMO, Tim Conway was the funniest ad lib person ever.
I wish that the Carol Burnett show was available on Netflix. As far as I know, it isn't.
