80 here today and tomorrow. Probably snow next week here, too, I've seen the ground white for a day in early October, believe it was like the 7th or 8th. I've also seen a foot of snow fall in late April AFTER a series of days around 90.

we got about four feet of snow the last week of april and the first week of may this year. we didn't hit 90, but it had definitely gotten warm. then the rain and flooding a few weeks ago. this has been a crazier year than normal.

(6,581 posts)Yeah, you'll get it tonight after the air cools and the sun goes down. Hopefully just a slushy kind that melts quick and only sticks on elevated surfaces.
A number of years ago, the husband of a co-worker had to go to Denver on business in October, I think it was fairly early in the month, and he ended up stuck a couple of days because of a major blizzard that brought the city to a standstill. This was probably about 10 years ago.

(30,947 posts)And rain in the forecast because of that storm in the Gulf.
I was only in Colorado once, and that was in Steamboat Springs in February. All the snow was just beautiful. We don't get much snow here in Georgia. Usually it's just a sprinkling, but occasionally we get enough to stick to the ground for a few days. The mountain counties get quite a bit of it, enough for the kids to go sledding. Our last big snowfall was in 1993 when we had a blizzard, which is a very rare occurrence here.

(24,146 posts)it's 40 outside right now, but the wind chill is dropping it another five degrees and the humidity is up a bit so it feels pretty frigid.
i've never been up to steamboat, but i hear it's beautiful.
what do you guys consider a blizzard down there? i can't imagine you guys getting four feet like we do with ours.
