I'm bored ... ask me anything about health and fitness, we'll see how I do.

My friends at the IRS have the day off. I'm bored. And, as many know, I reformed my health, lost weight, joined a gym, work out, hired a nutritionist, see an Integrative Medicine doctor, yada yada yada.

Your health, nutrition, and fitness questions, bring 'em.

But nibble I do and wonder if that's why my weight loss has stalled.

I'm walking 2-3 miles per day and eating five mini meals usually under 1500 calories and lost 10 pounds but now it's stopped.

Are those frozen blueberries at night killing my diet?

There is such a thing. Everyone in my professional circle of providers seems to think it's great, so I'm not worried. It is only improving my life, because it gives me such a sense of accomplishment. And, I feel great - when I'm not beat up, of course.

I'll just say more power to you, and if you can reach a higher level. That's just bonus.

To me, what is important is how it makes you feel.

If you're happy, then that's all good.

They only stuck with it a week or two, it sounds grueling.

I did the Fit test, and pushed hard.
By the time I took a hot shower, I thought I was going to pass out.

I mean, it is pretty hard.
The "Warm Up" is not really a warm up.
It starts you off with a 9 minute non-stop push. Where you get a 3 minute rotation that you repeat 3 times, going faster each time.

One rotation, usually consists of a jog, jumping jacks, heisman(side to side high knees), 1-2-3 heisman(stepping in between and then high knees), butt-kicks(running with your heels hitting your backside), high knees(running with your knees going above your waist), mummy kicks (kicking low while having your arms in front of you, moving them over each other).

You repeat that rotation three times, and faster each time.

2nd stage, the warm up rotation would be:
Jog, Straight Arm Jumping Jacks, 1-2-3 heisman, Side to Side jumping(like jumping rope but side to side), high knees, alternating kicks(just basically kicking with a hop), hit the floor(going in to a lunge touching the floor), Side to side floor hops(Basically, doing something akin to a donkey kick side to side)

I don't care how fit you are, you will have to stop now and then to breath. Even the people in the video collapse on the floor before starting up again.

Even if it's not a large amount, the simple sugars cause a spike and then a sharp drop on blood sugar. The excess insulin cause those sugars to go to fat stores. The Uni of California has a great series of 10 minute online videos called "the skinny on obesity"
which does a great job explaining metabolic syndrome.

You just need the right kind of snack, almost pure protein. Very slow to break down into blood glucose, avoids those pitfalls. Fish, seafood, chicken, beef would all be good choices. Low fat plain Greek yogurt would be excellent.

Here's a link to the video series:
