Forgetful groom called in bomb threat after failing to book wedding venue

A British man admitted in court Thursday he called in a bomb threat to a Liverpool hall after he forgot to book the venue for his wedding that day, the Liverpool Echo reports.

On April 24, the day of the wedding, Neil McArdle, 36, panicked and called St. George's Hall, saying a bomb would go off in 45 minutes.

McArdle later claimed he tried to call back to explain there was no bomb, but because the building had been evacuated, no one was there.

"He realized that he hadn't filled this form in. But he hadn't got the heart to tell his missus and her family," a source told the newspaper in April.

"The whole wedding party turned up to this bomb scare and then they found out there was no actual booking."

angry fiance and angry cops, I'll go with the cops every time. They might be mad at me but at least they'll probably try to keep her from killing me.

After having just gotten married back in August, I know how far in advance one needs to book a venue.

So this guy potentially went 6+ months telling his fiancee that it was taken care of?

Yikes!
