Many grocery stores now run delivery services such as Peapod. Ironically these services create jobs...someone has to take the list you submit, product select your items, for loss-prevention reasons the product selection must be checked out by a second human being (no automated or self-checkout) and they need to hire a driver. Typically, there's a delivery charge but often that's waived if you exceed a certain amount of inventory, I think it's $80 for Peapod.

Tip your driver, often they're also your product selector.

I haven't had many encounters in grocery stores with them. I pretty much get what I need and get out.

and I have never had any encounters with right-wingers at the grocery. Everyone I meet is very polite and no one discusses politics.

Do you let people bother you. I could care less what people think of me. Besides what makes politics come up in a grocery store. Or anywhere for that matter?

I buy my groceries online quite frequently, as the local supermarket has a web site to do just that.
