I woke up a few minutes ago covered in blood. Even my iPad screen.

I fell asleep in the recliner with iPad on my lap. Woke up to find my shirt, pants and screen all bloody. Yuck, kind of like 'Carrie'.

Cut my finger, badly but not bad enough for stitches, doing yard work earlier. I keep bandaging it up, it keeps bleeding through.

Not man enough to use styptic powder, that shit burns like Hell.

I took off most of the skin on my fingertip, a shallow broad slice - new pruners, I pruned a branch and my finger at the same time. They would have to cauterize it.

Reminds me of this:

Then apply something cold, like an ice pack, and elevate your hand.

Or......get stitches.

Have you had a tetanus shot in the last five years?

If not, go get the stitches, and the shot.

On edit: fingers, esp. right around the nail bed, bleed like crazy. That's where the capillaries are, and there are a lot of them. The same thing happens with facial cuts.

Is it in a spot where you could stick a butterfly bandage on it? If it doesn't stop bleeding, get to a doctor.

I ask her a simple question, like "where is the nearest Thai restaurant" and she does a google search for "salamanders" or something. Useless.

Yikes, I guess I should have saved the piece of finger I sliced off, it had the recognizable pattern.
