I've found this to be true. (I consider engineering to be science, though.)

(12,153 posts)For the longest time I thought of the History Channel as the Hitler Channel - All Hitler, All The Time.

(53,235 posts)Looks like it worked, based on the growth of the TP Klan.

(12,153 posts)yesterday there was a listing on one of those channels for a show about the history of the TP. I didn't watch it, so I don't know if it dissed, or complimented, the TP.

(12,153 posts)a couple of years old, but surely you're not serious in suggesting alien shows might be lumped in with junk!
csziggy
(34,136 posts)But a lot of what those channels are showing is stuff that should be thrown out = junk.

(7,570 posts)on regular TV (not cable) that were 100% about science? I'm thinking, of course, of Bill Nye the Science Guy and Beakman's World.
Sad, fucked-up times we live in.
I am looking forward to the new Cosmos series with Neil DeGrasse Tyson that shows up next year on, of all channels, FOX. Maybe that can help pull us out of this depressing slump.

shows like that aren't flashy enough for a lot of today's viewers - or something.
I like Neil DeGrasse Tyson very much and I'm glad he'll be doing a new Cosmos series! Too bad about it being on FOX, but maybe it'll smarten up some 'baggers.
Edited to make "are" into "aren't," which is what I'd meant to write in the first place.
