(21,020 posts)the living room at the start of the 4th quarter. Hid out in the bedroom with my iPad, watching the gamecast on ESPN. No live action, just little cartoon icons showing where each team is on the field, a statement on what plays were made, etc.
It's about 40 seconds behind the actual game. Things were looking rough.
Then I heard Mr Pipi cheering from the living room. I rushed out to see they had won.
I made him rewind the DVR back where there were 7 minutes left in the game so I could see the action myself.
He didn't mind seeing it again, and I have to admit that it was touching to see a grown man get so emotional (I'm talking about tears in his eyes) about an ending.
I hope that puts to rest all the talk from the sports analysts about Brady being past his prime...
Aerows
(39,961 posts)that is the reason you think Tom Brady is godlike.
graywarrior
(59,440 posts)Brady still pulled it off. He is GOD!!!!
Aerows
(39,961 posts)as a tight end, he is fantastic. Without him in play, we have issues.
Good job, Patriots, though. It was a good game and I feel I must give you your due. If the Saints are going to lose to somebody, it's at least nice that they lost to New England .

(59,440 posts)Ya just never know who's gonna come out on top in the end. And to think I hated football when I was younger!

(21,020 posts)and yeah...
How pathetic would it be to lose to the Jaguars? Or even the Giants, the way their season is going...
By the same token, it was a huge honor to see my team win against the Saints. Tough opponents.
the Giants. That would be like losing against your aged next door neighbor.

and still Gronkless
No Welker
No Woodhead
A group of still-wet-behind-the-ears rookies
I felt that NO giving Brady all those chances was almost like thumbing their noses at him. No respect. They must have really believed he couldn't get it done when it mattered.
They were wrong.
Honestly, how lucky are we to be seeing one of the greatest QB/coaching duos ever?
