I thought TV people did focus groups and polls...
Did anyone really believe Jenny McCarthy would make a good host on The View? Did they ask any real people?
I heard a blip on the radio saying something about Barbara Walters needing Jenny to tone it down to become more likable.
And then there's Bethenny Frankel of the Real Housewives of New York who now has her own talk show. Apparently, it's not getting good ratings. She may have done well on Bravo with people who are familiar with her, but I'm not sure who thought she could make it in a more broad market.
