I wanted to watch baseball online because I can't get Fox to come in with the digital antenna I have. So I signed up for Postseason.tv at mlb.com. It was only $4.99 so I thought it was a bargain. It turns out that it was only for the Division series and you have to pay another $24.99 for the rest of the playoffs.
What a joke.

(146,218 posts)I actually paid the $24.99 thinking I could stream the games.
But they are blacked out in the US and Canada.
You can see some of them 1 1/2 hours after the game, but others you can't get at all.
The site did not make this clear and I am asking for my money back.
But the worst thing is that people that get their TV over the air can't see the TBS shows at all.
I can't get FOX over the air right now either.
The silver lining is that I am listening to the games on the radio, which is kind of nostalgic.

(16,245 posts)I've figured out why I can't get Fox. My apartment faces the wrong direction. Most of the stations come in best if you face the antenna around 350 degrees and my apartment faces east, so it's the wrong direction. Unless I get more coaxial cable and put it on the other side of the apartment. Seems like too much trouble right now. Probably just need a better antenna anyway.

(146,218 posts)But I love post-season baseball and really object to their blacking this out in the US.

(16,245 posts)Cutting the cable cord is good, but you can't watch a lot of sports that way. I missed the Olympics, but I didn't really care because I hate NBC's coverage so much.
So I might give in and go back to basic cable.

(16,245 posts)And then I canceled once I realize they wanted more money for anything beyond the Division series.
Guess I'll find a radio station to listen to, or follow it online somehow.
