Beware the ides of October......

a happy memory and a sad memory today.

49 years ago my brother was born.
8 years ago my father died.

When we packed up my fathers apartment the same brother asked me what I had in my trunk. I told him Dad, more specifically his cremains.

and my wife's mom entered hospice this evening. Life is both sweet and bitter.
