Did some deep cleaning in my living room today, walks, floor, fireplace, the works. Of course, this involved significant temporary relocation of virtually every piece of furniture in the room.
My poor dog always acts so nervous when I do this, pacing around and looking morose. Eventually have gave up and slept in the kitchen.
He was very relieved when it was all put back together.

(14,691 posts)the younger 3 of my 5 cats hid. The other two, the 11-year-old stayed in a cardboard box and the 20-year-old couldn't care less, even when the vacuum monster was in his face.

(2,825 posts)My kitty went on the deck yesterday to find all "HIS" potted plants gone. They had been taken in for the winter. He was pacing where they once had been, looked at me, and gave me the most plaintiff MEOW.
All my kitties have ben this way. Re-arrange two pieces of furniture and it puts them out of sorts. On the other hand, put fresh linens on the bed, and they love love LOVE it.
