Man loses car for five weeks at OktoberfestAn Italian man who forgot where he parked his car during a visit to Munichs Oktoberfest has finally got it back but only after five weeks, three trips to the city and a local newspaper campaign.
The 40-year-old, named as Andreas O., left his silver VW Golf in a side-street, near a tram stop, before hurrying to get a tram to the Theresienwiese where the Oktoberfest is held.
But after a day of beer, roast ox and folk music, the factory worker realized he had forgotten the names of both the street and the tram stop and had no idea where his vehicle could be.
With eight different entrances to the Oktoberfest grounds and numerous train stations around the town centre where he might have parked, he could not remember how he had entered the site.

The festival's famous beer was not his downfall, according to Andreas. "I didn't come to drink. I came for the rides," he said.

Valet Workers at Miami Parking Lot Lost Car Keys on Purpose, Customers Say
Cruise ship passengers discover pile of keys dumped on pavement
Dozens of cars were left stranded in downtown Miami's Lot 58 Monday night after disgruntled valet workers dumped the keys in a pile on the pavement, customers said.
Customers told NBC 6 that some valet workers for Tampa-based Premier Parking Ventures dumped their keys in a dispute with Premier about not being paid.
At least 17 keys disappeared from the lot in what a company spokesman said was an act of sabotage.
"It's unfortunate," Premier Parking Ventures national operations manager Nicholas Letizia said Tuesday. "I believe that we were sabotaged."

(5,946 posts)ojh and I have an app where I don't need my keys anymore, I can start my car with my phone.
The best part is my car is one of the least desired/stolen cars, so I probably could leave it unlocked.

"My car was stolen!"
Found it where I had cleverly hidden it behind the bar's dumpster.
Hey...I was in my 30s.
'cept I didn't call the cops. I was still dazed the next morning. I walked over half of Bisbee ' til I found my truck.
I guy I know got in a fight with his wife and proceded to go bar hopping. The next day he woke up at home but with no car.
He and his wife got in the other vehicle and drove all over looking with no luck. When he got home he had a call from the police.
His car was stuck in a ditch about 100 yards past his house. He over shot his turn.
