My kid is going to be a TA this term.

I find myself again puzzled by my kids' school schedules. Their high school only has five classes a day each term, and each day it is the same five classes. Advantage: an entire year of a subject in two out of three school terms each year. Disadvantage: sometimes whacky schedules.

Out of five possible classes, one kid has two sciences, history, a foreign language and then the TA thing for a math class (he also takes a math class before school at a local college, but not for high school credit). The other kid has math, two sciences, history and either health or PE (hasn't decided yet).

As someone that did the high school thing in the late 80s, I find the lack of a core subject or two each term mildly disturbing. No English? Blasphemy!

Anyway, yeah, so my sophomore is going to be a TA for said sophomore's sibling's math class. Great fun for all involved, I'm sure.
