Urgent question for people in San Jose, CA, area

I'm sure you know it's FREEZING outside! I am very concerned about the homeless people out there in the cold. I have a bunch of coats to give but I don't know where to take them.

Does anybody know where I can take donations so that people will get them tonight?

There are social service organizations that I can give them to, but they distribute goods only to the people who make it to their organizations. There are many folks who cannot and/or will not get there tonight.

I predicted yesterday this would happen, but when I heard 3 homeless people died last night of hypothermia in San Jose, I felt responsible for not doing anything. I tried to find a place to take them, but I just couldn't.

If you know where I can drop off these items, please let me know.

Many thanks!
