Right now in Minneapols, it's a balmy 4° F with a windchill of -12°F. It actually warmed up today. Sigh.

(22,845 posts)It snowed hard all morning and the federal government is closed.
It's unusual for snow to fall here and stick before the new year.

(2,012 posts)Boulder has set new records all week, -15 at nite, -5 to 0 in the daytime. Of course, perfect timing, a huge area of 7200 homes had a "equipment gas failure" and we were without heat for 2-5 days depending when they got to your block. And more: power went out at 8 pm for 2 hours rendering the space heaters, ovens, lights and all tech we depend on useless. Finally our great sun is back and melting has begun so we can feel sorry for Dallas and the East Coast.
