God....I've been waiting for this.

1. I am hoping this one will be good....

I love old school Godzilla; partly for the cheese and party because Godzilla is portrayed as a sympathetic character. I always felt sorry for him. Not a big fan of the 98 reboot.

Hopefully they'll get it right in this movie.

2. I loved Gareth Edwards' 'Monsters'

He got the job directing this on the strength of that film. Supposedly he's going back the the the feel of the original 54' film 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' which s more of a psychological drama. Fingers crossed!

Now that I've looked at the promo stuff for the movie, excited for it! But will Godzilla be CGI or a man in a suit?

14. I think it'll be full CGI

but who knows maybe they'll do some man-in-suit FX too. I actually really like when they combine the two.

to plummet right into Godzilla's mouth in the trailer...

but, there had to be some sort of initial plan, too?

7. They are probably trying to mark his body for some sort of missile strike.

Maybe the secret weapon that finally takes him out.

but, wasn't sure since I didn't see any parachutes opening...

and, in the old movies, didn't Godzilla just retire to the sea without being beaten/killed?

ends up destroying him and the scientist who created it in the end.

As opposed to the 1998 travesty, it looks like they stay pretty faithful to the basic look and sound of the original, without the guy in the suit throwing around Lionel trains.

Looks like I've got my summer movie to look forward to. Go go, Godzilla!
