The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsSo who did the Cowboys have to play for them the 2nd half of that game?
That was 34 points the Packers scored on the Cowcrappies. My guess is the regular Dallas team opted to sit on the bench the second half and used a local 3rd grade pee-wee football team to finish out the rest of the game.

(12,325 posts)It's not completely Roma's fault.
I am disgusted with this team. They never fail to disappoint me, week after week.

BTW, The Dallas Cowboys did beat that 2-9-1 team!!

(95,337 posts)we came off of a 5 win streak and with the SI cover I figured the Eagles were due for a loss.

We don't deserve to but we still could.

(95,337 posts)just saying....

(12,132 posts)neither of us deserves it though. NFC East is the joke division this year. It would be more honorable if whoever wins the division just says "No". The East and the North should just sit this one out and let the 4 10+ win teams who actually showed up to games this year duke it out.

Fuck off? Really? Can we have some rules on the new DU?
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Tue Dec 17, 2013, 08:04 PM, and the Jury voted 3-3 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: This is The Lounge -- where one can be as offensive as one chooses.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: We do have rules, but this one I think falls under the Sports Group Exception (even if in this case the Sports Groups has oozed into the Lounge).
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: Idunno. Now that calling someone a "ratfucker" is getting a pass from juries, it would be unjust to hide something like this.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT and said: That is a vulgar saying. Please find another way of saying this that won't be so displeasing to football fans arguing over a game. Besides, the Seahawks will take it all this year.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT and said: Don't have to explain this hide.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(18,219 posts)based on your avatar. Turns out you are a football fan, and presumably a baseball fan as well.
I am sure that if your post was hidden, you would not have been offended. Glad to give you a smile.

(58,706 posts)Those guys in the second half were the 'real' Cowboys. The question is, where did they find a real football team to sub for them in the first half.
davidpdx
(22,000 posts)They knew going into the game the only way they could make the playoffs is winning the division outright (they didn't/don't have a chance in hell at a wild card). The Eagles play the Bears and that will be a good game. That is a very weak division and one win will make a difference. I don't think Dallas can expect they are going to walk backwards into the playoffs given that loss.
As it is right now, it looks like the wildcard teams will end up playing division winners who have a lower record.
