House for sale in Scranton, PA. $144,000. Slightly haunted

Built in 1901, this Victorian home in the Hollywood section of Dunmore features 1850 sf of living space with an additional 1350 sf of partially finished space. Original hardwood floors throughout entire home. 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. Off-street parking. Freshly painted. New moulding throughout entire first floor. Slightly haunted. Nothing serious, though. e.g. The sounds of phantom footsteps. A strange knocking sound followed by a very quiet (hardly noticeable, even) scream at 3:13am, maybe once a week. Twice a week, tops. And the occasional ghastly visage lurking behind you in the bathroom mirror. Even still, this occurs very rarely and only in the second floor bathroom.

Also I wonder if they're making up the ghosts to try to attract a buyer who will pay a premium for poltergeist.

Here in Ala. you could have Scrooge and all his ghosts making nightly appearances
and would not be required to mention it.
Houses here are sold "as is, where is".

and when I moved here back in1990 there was one in the house who I only ever saw in the hall - a small middle aged woman in Victorian attire. Could never make out why she seemed to disappear through the wall into my neighbour's. Turned out the houses were once one.

Spooky.

Last night while standing on the stair
I saw a girl who wasn't there
She wasn't there again today
I wish that girl would go away

Built in 2002 this all-metal siding metal roof is very well insulated with 8" thick walls. On 9 acres with two ponds on a corner completely fenced. Three bedrooms two bath. In 2009 a two car garage 11' high clearance with an added 12'x20' shop with 12' wide doors. There is storage above the shop same size.

In 2011 a full size replica pirate ship was built to hold an above ground 18' diameter swimming pool that is fun for the whole family. Been in the newspaper, seen on TV and published in a magazine. The ship is 25' wide, 50' long, with 30' high mast. Multiple decks, trap doors for access other areas. Door on main deck into storage area easy to access those pool supplies. Doors on the ground are hidden from view. Have to see it to believe it. This property has many kid features and is great for a family and to entertain. Under the ship has storage and play area for kids. An upper sun deck or "stern" has plenty of area to lay out or even steer the ship and watch the rudder move. A rope that you can swing across the pool to really gives you that pirate feel. You can view both ponds from the ship. Look off the bow and view the pond that has a 12'x15' floating dock. Behind the pond is a very long rope hanging high in the tree to swing on. Behind the house is a tree house platform that kids can climb on. Want a fireman's pole? Look no farther there is one in the garage you can slide down on from the storage area above the shop. Access storage area reveals the hidden stairs that at a push of the button swings down into the garage. Push the button again and they disappear. Between the house and ship is a limestone waterfall with a stream to a small pond. Walkway crosses the stream accessing the pirate ship deck.

we very clearly heard footsteps walking through the adjacent dining room.
No one was there. She said it happens all the time. Freaky.
