Anyone else feeling crappy?

I slept for 36(!) straight hours from Sat night to Monday noon...ever since, vomiting, then dry heaves...the runs...all the usual suspects...little appetite or energy...ick. Perfect time of year for it, too...:-/... last year, after XMas, I had the flu for *six* weeks. Hope it isn't that bad this time...LOL...

in a ball on the floor. I was fine until the last hour of work yesterday, when I started getting cramping/sharp pains in my gut, and I was soooo cold. I drove home moaning the whole way, wondering if I should pull over and get my husband to come get me. Made it home, took my temp to see if I was feeling cold because I had a fever - but my temperature had swung all crazy in the other direction, it was 96.5. I spent an hour wrapped up in bed with a hat trying to warm up, so cold I was typing on my laptop with one arm, then pulling it back in the blankets to warm up while I took the other arm out to type til it got too cold.

Things settled down finally, then woke up in the night with stomach pains again, called in sick which I usually do just one day every few years. Was okay this morning, in pain and cold again now. Now I'm at 96.1, but I did have a smoothie (no ice, but refrigerated coconut milk) a half hour ago.

I'm trying to figure out if it's a gluten thing since I ate a sandwich before getting sick again today, or my body's trying to hibernate this year or what.

...boy--just hope you're OK by XMas... and be well. I'll be fine with a little rest and enough diet ginger ale...

I'm hoping to be better by tomorrow. Sounds like you are hit way worse than me, you must be exhausted.

Everyone seems to get sick around this time of year. I've been lucky. But then that's probably cause I never socialize

Get well soon.

and it always seems to lead to illness of one type or another. Just try to keep yourself hydrated and stay as relaxed as possible.

You seem to have a much stronger bug than I do.
I've had a flu/cold for over three weeks. I thought I had finally got well last weekend but today the flu/cold is back. Our bad weather (cold in the 20s with snow) probably was a factor in my cold coming back.
It could be worse -- someone in our office was out with pneumonia.

Flu I think, last night my ribs were so sore I could barely cough, but it seems to have broken has I now have a "productive" cough.

What I need is to sleep for 12 hours or so when I am sick, but I'm on the road and my schedule leaves me little time for even minimal rest.

I recommend living alone in a cold house and seldom going anywhere. Of course for some, the cure would be worse than the disease. Unfortunately the formula does work. It just leads to other problems.

There's an inversion settled in over us and the air is smelly and foul. Our whole building has the nasty coughs.
