1. I always liked that one, too.

I still love all the old Christmas songs, even though I'm no longer a Christian. Some of my favorites were:

"O Holy Night" (wish I could sing this one, but my range is too narrow)
"Go Tell It On the Mountain"
Schubert's "Ave Maria"

2. Those are nice

"O Holy Night" is a difficult one to sing -- and it's so beautiful. Just magical.
Literally gives me goose bumps

Lots of others I love-- mostly the traditional ones

Hate the commercial ones ("Here Comes Santa Claus," etc.)

3. Oh God, I went to an inner city high school in S.F.

And enrolled in the music class because I really wanted to learn to read music. The teacher was a dolt and in three years, all I ever learned was the first three bars of the aformentioned good king. What a waste! i hate that piece!
