My BIL is nuts!

Not the nasty sort of crazy, my brother-in-law is the friendly kind of crazy.

It's 7 degrees out today, will get even colder tonight and tomorrow.

My BIL is out on Lake Winnebago, ice fishing.

He goes out to his shack by snowmobile really early in the morning.

2. At least he has a shanty. My friend tries to convince me to join him without a shanty.

Yeah... Sitting on a bucket in the middle of a frozen lake.

3. Coloradoans have a lot of cold tolerance and I can appreciate the shorts, sleeveless shirts

coming out when winter breaks for a 60 degree sunny day.

But, it drives me nuts to see the flip-flops come out when there is still snow on the ground and temps in the 40s.

5. Speaking as someone who

has Raynauds Syndrome, it absolutely makes me cringe also when the shorts and flipflops come out before it's even 50 degrees.

I have to wear socks all year long.

In fact, I can't even stand to see the little birdies outside standing around on the snow and ice and cold tree branches with nothing on their feet.
