Speak up!

Damn funny how doing that sometimes can work in your favor.

I'm having dinner at the bar, and it's pretty slow here. The temp outside is like -4,000 or something. The poor host at the front is freezing her ass off.

So a few minutes ago, she started chatting with the bar tender, complaining how cold she is. I have no doubt as she right by the front door. And damn it if those pesky customers aren't occasionally opening the door from time to time.

So after complaining to the bar tender (which I feel is more venting than anything) that she is going to walk out, she can't deal with this, how is she supposed to work like this, why won't the manager turn on the heat (the heat is pumping), I've been so cold for hours now, etc... The bar tender (apparently tired of hearing this), she says tell Judy.

So a few moments go by, and Judy (I'm assuming the manager) walks by, and the host says, (rather snippy) "can we turn on the heat? I'm freezing". Judy replied that the heat was on, but to give her a minute. 5 minutes later Judy walks in the front door with a heater fan (I'm assuming from the hardware store across the street), and unboxes it on the spot. I'm about 30 feet from this thing but I feel warmer.

Speak up damn it.
