(20,211 posts)You know, the automatic doors that start to close if you don't walk through them quick enough? So I stood in the door and held it while he shuffled through. He turned around and smiled, reached in his pocket and gave me a butterscotch. When was the last time you had a butterscotch?

(66,450 posts)I really don't miss living in the South, (It's been thirty years since I lived down home) but I do occasionally miss being called 'Hon' by restaurant servers.

(12,132 posts)I got a "Hon" and a "sweetie" from two different ladies. (But then "sweetie" took it back because she didn't want to get in trouble with HR. I told her I'd never report that and she gave it back.. We had fun at work today.)
