I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go

I hate being in debt and I used to be debt-free aside from my mortgage. Then I had to buy a car and I needed something newer. I couldn't get by with a clunker when I had 60 mile round trip commute to work every day. Cha-Ching! Now I'm racking up school debt while I finish my degree. That will be about 35k when I'm done, which isn't too awfully hateful, and hopefully I'll be able to cover it okay with increased income, but I bet I'm still looking at about a $350 monthly payment on that.

It's hard to live without creating debt. I could do it, but I don't think my wife would go along with it because it would involve selling nice things that we currently have thanks to out credit ratings. Ah, well. I owe, I owe.

I don't think you need to worry about the debt. You are a responsible man, and you will pay it off, eventually!

I could be wrong, but I believe having debt establishes your credit rating. And that is a good thing.

Enjoy your nice things!

I HATE owing money. I finally got some of mine paid off and am enjoying having a little extra now that isn't going to banks! I know I need to start saving some, but I just need to enjoy it for a bit. Being able to hit the grocery store and get everything on the list is a big thrill! I am still in the habit of coupons and sales and generic products but I can stock up better when stuff is on sale now.

School loans are insane. We need educated graduates not debt slaves. Something needs to change with the system soon.
